Meet Song

Yes, that is my real name, and no, my parents are neither hippy nor of Korean heritage, as I so often am asked . It fits, because I believe my life is meant to be a song of worship to my God. I love Jesus with my whole heart, and strive to serve, honor and share His Love throughout each day of my life. I’m also a musician, and in my single years loved to write and lead others in songs of worship. But now I am learning that even diaper-changing, breaking up squabbles and picking up Cheerios off the floor can store up treasures in heaven, if done with a cheerful, thankful spirit.

I am the happy wife to my wonderful husband, Matthew. Marriage has been the most challenging and rewarding adventure of my life, and I’m thankful to say that I love my husband so much more now than I did on our wedding day in August 2005. Like Eve, I am created to be his help-meet, and I consider this task of loving, honoring and helping him to be the greatest call of God on my life.

Lastly, I am a mother of four amazing children: Levi, Isaiah, Ayanna and Shepherd. They are aged 5 and under, so we have a busy household! I gave birth to our firstborn one month after our 1st anniversary, and they just kept coming. We did not ‘plan’ for any of them – in fact, we said when we got married that we wanted to wait three years! Meanwhile, God was declaring in the heavens, “Nope. How about three kids in three years!” Divine humor. I’m sure more will come in years to come, through adoption or natural means, but we were made for it. I’m a lucky lady to be married to one outstanding father, and to partner with him in parenting is our greatest joy!
